If you are getting the password expired error, it means your account requires a password reset. This usually happens every 6-months for Staff/Faculty. This affects access to your emails, Microsoft applications, Wi-Fi, and campus devices/computers.
Note: Staff and Faculty will sign into Microsoft Apps and their staff email using their CUNY Login (@login.cuny.edu) starting June 2026.

Student
Students can reset or claim their @mybmcc.cuny.edu account password using the BMCC Password reset website. If you are a student, please go to login.bmcc.cuny.edu

Staff
1. To reset your password, attempt to sign in on Outlook.office365.com. You can do so by selecting your saved account or select “use another account” if you do not see your employee email.


2.Once you have reached the BMCC SSO (Single Sign-On) page, select the "Faculty/Staff: Account & Password Help" option on the SSO page.

3. Fill out all of the required fields, then click “Next”.

4. Choose the option that best applies to your request.

5. Click Next to reset your password. If you are struggling to reset your password after following these steps, please call or visit the Service Desk for an IT representative to assist.
